Dominique's Page

Dominique started piano lessons on January 27, 2003 at 8 years of age. Recently she said, "I like piano because it gives you a "do it however" feeling, or a feeling of absolute freedom; even in lessons when you're assigned songs or activities to do. I like in my piano class that you sometimes are assigned songs people will recognize; for example, Christmas songs like Jingle Bells, and The Holly and the Ivy. I also have a theory book where you can draw, play crossword puzzles, matching games, and more fun games all related to piano. I look foward to my lessons or practice time, even if sometimes when I'm tired I don't want to play; and one thing I've learned over the years is that if you have dreams or want to get somewhere you have to take those first steps or practice. (I mostly learned that from my parents saying practice, and the rewards that come after the hard work, mixed with some fun). I definitely enjoy piano and always will."
